Made for the Hyundai Santa Fe DM with the 2.4L GDi G4KJ petrol engine (138kW and 141kW), built from 2012 to 2018. Not for the 2.2L CRDi diesel.

FITMENT CHECK

This is the EXHAUST-side valve (2-pin) for engines built from 01/2011. On the later Sonata LF, Optima JF, Sorento XM and Sportage QL, confirm your old valve reads 24375-2G500. Theta II engines use a separate intake-side valve (OEM 24355-2G500) - check which side has failed and confirm the part number on your old valve before ordering.

1 x exhaust-side VVT oil control solenoid valve with 2-pin oval connector and seal ring.

ABOUT THIS PART

The VVT solenoid is an oil control valve. The ECU pulses it to send oil pressure to the exhaust cam phaser, which advances or retards exhaust cam timing for power, economy and emissions.

The Santa Fe DM is a heavy 7-seat SUV, so the 2.4L GDi works hard and runs hot. Heat and oil breakdown are what clog the VVT valve screen, so the valve and an oil change go together.
