ABOUT THIS SENSOR

The oxygen sensor monitors exhaust gas oxygen content and signals the ECU to maintain the correct air-fuel mixture. These are heated narrowband sensors using zirconia technology with an isolated ground - direct replacement for original Toyota units on the 1GR-FE and 1UR-FE platforms.

A faulty sensor causes the ECU to run open-loop on fixed fuel maps, leading to increased consumption, rough running, and progressive catalytic converter damage if left unresolved.
