FITMENT CHECK

HiAce built after 10/2006: the post-cat downstream sensor uses a different connector plug to the pre-cat sensor. Both positions use this sensor part number but the plug shape changed at that build date. Check your original plug against the listing images before ordering to confirm you have the right position.

ABOUT THIS SENSOR

The oxygen sensor monitors exhaust gas oxygen content and signals the ECU to maintain the correct air-fuel mixture. This is a heated narrowband sensor using zirconia technology with an isolated ground - direct replacement for the original Toyota unit.

A faulty sensor forces the ECU into open-loop mode, causing increased fuel consumption, rough idle, and failed emissions tests. On the HiAce 2TR-FE this is a high-wear component - early replacement avoids downstream catalytic converter damage.
