ABOUT THIS SEAL

This radial shaft seal sits on the crankshaft flange at the transmission end of the block, keeping engine oil in the crankcase while the crankshaft rotates freely.

A failed seal lets oil weep onto the clutch or torque converter, dropping oil level over time and risking clutch slip or shudder on manual Veloster, Cerato Koup and ix35 models.
