ABOUT THIS COIL

The Holden V6 SIDI engines (LY7 / HB / LE0 / LLT / LFX / LFW / LF1) use individual coil-on-plug ignition coils - one per cylinder. Each coil converts 12V battery current into the high-voltage spark needed to ignite the air-fuel mixture. When a coil fails or degrades, the affected cylinder stops firing efficiently, causing a misfire that the ECU logs as a fault code.
