ABOUT THIS SENSOR

The mass airflow sensor on the Suzuki J24B and M16A petrol engines is a hot-wire insert type sensor shared with the Toyota/Lexus platform. It is positioned between the air filter housing and the throttle body and measures the volume and temperature of intake air, transmitting this data to the ECU for fuel injection calculation. The J24B engine is used across the Grand Vitara JB and Kizashi, while the M16A is used in the naturally aspirated Swift Sport. Can I clean my MAF sensor instead of replacing it?
