COMMON QUESTIONS

How do I know if I need the End Mount or Top Mount sensor?

Hyundai used two different fuel rail designs on the 2.5L D4CB engine. You must visually inspect your engine. If the sensor is screwed into the very end of the rail tube you need this part (RPS115). If it is screwed into the top face of the rail you need the RPS109 variant.

What are the symptoms of a failing D4CB fuel rail pressure sensor?

A faulty sensor sends incorrect fuel pressure readings to the ECU. This often results in a Check Engine Light rough idling a severe lack of power limp mode and the engine randomly stalling while driving.

Do I need to program this sensor after installation?

No programming is required for this direct replacement sensor. However you must use an OBD2 scanner to clear any stored engine fault codes before starting the vehicle so the ECU can learn the new pressure readings.
